HD lace is roughly 0.8mm — thin enough that once it's pre-plucked and the knots are bleached, it genuinely disappears against the skin.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTwo things have to happen for it to work, and this is where a lot of \"HD lace\" listings cut corners:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e1. \u003cstrong\u003eThe knots must be bleached.\u003c\/strong\u003e A bleached knot dissolves into the lace so light doesn't catch on it. Unbleached knots on HD lace look like tiny dark dots — the opposite of invisible.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2. \u003cstrong\u003eThe hairline must be pre-plucked.\u003c\/strong\u003e A factory pluck thins the hairline so the transition from your skin to the wig is gradual.
