Braided Wigs Take Real Skill to Make

A braided wig isn't a wig with braids added. It's hair that's been divided, sectioned, and braided strand by strand — hundreds of them — then hand-tied into a lace or wefted cap. Our braiders have been doing it for two decades in our own Xuchang workshop, and it's the most labour-intensive thing we make.

That matters for how it looks. In a machine-assembled braided wig, the braids sit on top of a cap and read as decoration. In a hand-braided one, the hair flows continuously from the parting into the braid, with baby hair worked into the hairline so it blends instead of stopping dead. You can see the difference immediately when you turn the wig over.

How Long Braided Wigs Take to Make

Full lace braided units take 2–3 days of handwork. Lace front braided units take 1–2 days. If you order during a promotion, processing may take longer than usual — we publish our current estimate on every product page rather than guessing.
